What to do with your Christmas Tree....

After a merry Christmas, it’s time to start thinking about what to do with your tree. What should you do? You should Treecycle it at MulchFest!

On Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13, NYC Parks will host the annual MulchFest from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at locations citywide. Bring your holiday tree to one of 80 designated parks to be recycled into mulch that will nourish plantings across the city or your own garden! There will be 35 chipping sites and 45 drop-off sites throughout the five boroughs. And this year, you can bring your tree to a drop-off site starting January 9 and running through the 13th.

Central Park Youth Hockey: The Mighty Lady Hawks

THE MIGHTY LADY HAWKS

AMONGST THE BEAUTIFUL BACKDROP
AT THE TOP OF CENTRAL PARK
THERE'S A RINK THAT'S ALWAYS BUZZING
ALL DAY AND THROUGH THE DARK

IT'S HOME TO THE MIGHTY LADY HAWKS
NO, THIS IS NOT A SPOOF
ITS LASKER RINK IN CENTRAL PARK
AND THEY PLAY WITHOUT A ROOF

OUTDOOR HOCKEY IS SO UNIQUE
ITS PURE HOCKEY FROM ITS ROOTS
AND IF YOU LISTEN CLOSE ENOUGH
YOU'LL HEAR "SHE SKATES, SHE SHOOTS"

THESE LADY HAWKS ARE FEARSOME
THEY PLAY WITH HEART AND SOUL
THEY REPRESENT NEW YORK CITY
AND SUCCESS IS THEIR MAIN GOAL

SO IF YOU ENTER CENTRAL PARK
ON ONE OF YOUR SCENIC WALKS
LOOK OUT FOR NEW YORK'S BLACK AND GOLD,
THE MIGHTY LADY HAWKS.
